Day Sixty-four – Dear Codral. It’s time for you to kick in now.

As you may have guessed from the title, I still have my cold virus. I’m on call tonight so hopefully I get the next day off so I can rest up and maybe finally kill it.

Sookie and I are having a stare off.

I had an early shift today so I spent my afternoon drinking tea and finishing reading Harriet the Spy for the five billionth time. I used to read this book every week when I was seven and living in Germany and I wanted to be a spy so bad I even made up a tool belt like Harriet has in the book and crept around our apartment building listening to people. I didn’t speak much German so everything sounded way more exciting than it was.

Neighbour (speaking in German): Please pass the butter

My interpretation: Please pass the hard drugs and guns for the shoot out later this evening.

I highly recommend this book. It made me want to be a writer and I think this piece of advice from Ole Golly should be taken on board by everybody:

“Always say exactly what you feel. People are more hurt by misunderstanding than anything else.”

Now, wasn’t today’s blog post much less revolting than yesterdays? Aren’t you glad you stuck around?
